LONELY PLANET - MEXICO COUNTRY GUIDE
They call us - “OUR PICK!”
“Azucenas is a friendly, very well run Canadian-owned hotel in a beautifully restored century-old house. The 10 impeccably clean, cool, tile-floored rooms have ample bathrooms and a buffet breakfast (M$44) is served on a lovely roof terrace.”
MEXICO (EYEWITNESS TRAVEL GUIDE)
“Opened in 2000, the Azucenas combines family hospitality and historic charm. The building is turn-of-the-century colonial style, with a handsome central patio surrounded by rooms. Small, attractive rooms with dark wood matching furniture and Mexican touches. Rooftop garden terrace.”
FODOR’S MEXICO 2008
“This intimate hotel occupies a charmingly restored old home near the Basilica de la Soledad. You can spot that church and at least half a dozen others from the plant-filled terrace. The most private room is secluded on the second floor. The others are just as cozy, but one has a skylight rather than a window. Ask for a tiny tele (TV) at the reception desk if you can’t bear to miss the evening news.”
